Palm Pixi Plus for Verizon

I was recently given the opportunity to try out the new Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus from Verizon. The Plus refers to the ability of both these phones to function as 3G hotspots (like a mi-fi). You can connect up to 5 devices through Wi-Fi to access the internet through the phones.

The people over at isyougeekedup just slammed out a ‘How to Guide’ to help you Tether you new Palm Pre. Instructions are simple enough: SH tunnel to the Pre, which supports running as a SOCKS proxy. You then configure your browser to point to this proxy and BAM, you’re tethering away.

Pre’s Touchstone Having Charging Issues?

Looks like the Touchstone issues, like this user is having are something to do with the Pre sitting on the Touchstone charging dock. This may be an isolated incident but this could mean that the Touchstone unit is not working properly either.
