WebOS SDK 1.3.1 change log released
With each big update comes a Mojo SDK update as well. A new API and some more documentation. Palm still has a lot of work to do when it comes to the SDK but every little thing helps

The on and off relationship between the Palm Pre and Verizon has taken another turn, today Verizon seems to have confirmed that they will be carrying the Palm Pre early next year. This time the source is the Twitter account of Verizon Wireless @VZWOffers .
We’ve been hearing for a while now about Yahoo! instant messaging capabilities showing up on unmodified Palm Pres sporadically and for no reason but now I’ve got fist hand confirmation. My own Pre suffered from some technical issues earlier this week (Monday) and I immediately took it to my nearest Sprint store and had them order me a new one
Starting today, October 3rd, 2009, our comrades can run to their nearest O2 retailer (or online if they prefer) and grab a GSM Pre for themselves! The phone will set cost you back €481 (around $710USD or £450) without contract, or with the O2 My Handy option letting you finance it via 24 monthly payments of €20 (around £18 or $29USD). Either way, small price to pay for technological perfection, right? I know… I know… I’m a little biased
Palm WebOS Blog can definitely confirm that Verizon, the largest US mobile carrier, may or may not be but probably almost kinda sorta want to not be the next carrier to provide their customers with the Palm Pre. Verizon stated before the initial launch of the Pre on Sprint that they would snag the highly anticipated phone (or a similar webOS device) by early 2010, at the end of Sprint’s 6 month exclusivity
Many stated concern when Palm officially announced the ability to sync with iTunes, without getting approval from Apple. In the months that have followed, Apple and Palm have battled back and forth on the issue, with the latest iTunes stopping the sync ability with the Palm Pre.
It appears that Deutsche Telekom, the parents company of T-Mobile is calling in banking advisers to research a possible multi-billion dollar deal to take over Sprint Nextel, the third largest US based cell phone carrier. Currently T-Mobile is ranked fourth, and a merger would put the two companies in line to challenge AT&T for their second-place position.
Apple has announced and released iTunes 9 today at their annual iPod event, and very well may have released the best version of iTunes yet, but for those of you using iTunes to sync your media to your Pre, beware. It’s very likely that Apple and Palm will go back and forth on this for eternity, but as of right now iTunes 9 does not support the Pre
Yesterday, Sprint pushed out an additional $100 credit off the Palm Pre to new customers willing to switch carriers and pick up the Palm Pre.
Last week rumors started floating around that a $50 price break for the Pre would soon be announced, making Sprint’s flagship phone even more tempting for those who haven’t already jumped into the pool. Today Sprint made that announcement, but instead of the rumored $50, Sprint is taking another $100 off in the form of credit taken off the monthly bill for customers switching from another carrier only. (Sorry Sprint customers, no deal for you.) This may be Sprint’s best move (aside from locking down 2 of the most talked about phones of the summer Palm Pre and HTC Hero) because a lot of people who may think the Pre is a great phone are still scared of switching to Sprint who in the past years has had some rough patches to say the least
Didn’t I tell you that drizzle was getting steadier and faster? Well, here’s some more proof. Just released unto the masses via webOS’ App Catalog are 13 new apps
Just popped up on the catalog, an update to eBook reader, Shortcovers . This brings the app up to version 0.9.17 and it does require that you have webOS 1.1 installed. We’ve seen this before when Yelp was released a few days ago
If you’re like me, you had no idea your Palm Pre was missing a manual! I jest… of course it’s not missing anything but the included documentation surely left gaping holes that needed to be filled, right? At least that’s what O’Reilly thinks and that’s why they’ve released: Palm Pre: The Missing Manual , a 287-page book that claims it can teach you everything you need to know about your new Pre.
A few days ago, images leaked of what appeared to be a Verizon Wireless inventory listing and it included two Palm devices that we’ve never heard of. The P121VZW and the P101VZW. The P101VZW could very well be the Verizon Wireless neutered modified Palm Pre since we already know that the Pre carries the model number P101.
Just posted in the webOS App Catalog on the Pre, updates to three games; Speed Brain, Word Ace and Bubbles. Word Ace and Bubbles are recent additions to the catalog, having been added just days ago
