Now that Verizon Wireless will be selling the brand new Palm Pre Plus with more memory and internal storage, is fair to see how it does against the original Pre. The good folks over at Precentral have done a video showing how good both devices do at opening cards (multitasking). As most of you already know, Verizon wireless will get the Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus by January 25th of this year (as in five more days). Now that we know that a variant of the Palm Pre GSM for the Noth American market is coming to Canada, I reckon it will be also coming to the good ‘ol US of A.
It has been a while since we broke past the 1000 applications milestone in the App Catalog. For those who like to know more about Congress, there’s an app for that
Faithful reader akitayo points out that Verizon now has a sign up page where you can punch in your email and register your hopeful anticipation for the Palm Pre Plus or Palm Pixi Plus on their network. Thus far, it looks like you’re trading your precious email address for the promise of more information, though said information is not forthcoming as of yet. They’re especially curious to know if you’re a current Verizon customer or a potential switcher

Okay, so this is quite the lag from October’s North American availability , but at least when the paid portion of Palm’s App Catalog rolls out across Europe it shouldn’t experience the stuttering start it suffered back in the US of A. Palm has excitedly blurted out the news on its developer network blog, but not without the requisite garnishings of buzzwords like “leverage,” “freedom,” “choice,” “control,” and “speed,” as well as something about “faster cycle times” — all of it designed to get more developers onboard
Entrepreneurial magazine Fast Company recently revealed their list of who they are calling the “Geeks of the Year” , (the year being 2009). And on that list is one Jon Rubinstein, who we know around here as the CEO of Palm, Inc. Fast Company’s reasoning behind bestowing such an, uh, honor on Rubinstein?
