Filed under: Software , Palm , Apple , webOS Here we go again: round umpteen of the fight to break and re-enable Pre syncing with iTunes is now underway thanks to the release of iTunes 9 , and we’re sure there’s plenty more where this came from. Endlessly amusing to casual observers, yes, but Pre customers are the ones losing out — sure, Palm might be able fix this in a jiffy (especially since they continue to tout compatibility with the Pixi ), but meanwhile, media sync’s out of the picture once more
Over the weekend, we had a little development in webOS-land.
Palm just posted this so I’m going to be quick and quote Palm on this one but before I do, here’s the gist: if you’re a resident of the US, here’s another chance to win a Palm Pre.
This is indeed, old news, I’m aware of that but nonetheless, I found it amusing way back when I first saw it and I think you guys will too. As our friends over at our Apple-obsessed sister-site The iPhone Blog have noted , Apple has updated their support documents to address non-Apple synchronization with their pervasive iTunes media player: Apple designs the hardware and software to provide seamless integration of the iPhone and iPod with iTunes, the iTunes Store, and tens of thousands of apps on the App Store. Apple is aware that some third-parties claim that their digital media players are able to sync with Apple software.

Palm has raised a little ruckus by noting that the Pre can sync with Apple's iTunes software.
