Just hours after we wrapped our mitts around what looked to be Palm’s official webOS 1.4 changelog , along comes this: confirmation from none other than Sprint itself. According to a post on the carrier’s official forums by Sprint Admin ‘izzyks,’ both the Pre and Pixi will see the long-awaited webOS 1.4 update hit sometime tomorrow evening. As always, users will see an OTA alert when the new files are ready for consumption, and you can find a full list of the fixes and changes just beyond the break

There are new apps and updates available in the App Catalog again! Let’s see how long Palm can keep this up. If we could have 10-15 new apps a day forever and that number continues to increase as more developers hop on the platform and more users purchase WebOS devices, Palm will be in great shape. Going into yesterday evening we were prepared for Friday to be another app-less day, but Palm had other plans for us. Yesterday we received more new apps than we usually see in total updated and new: 26, bringing the grand total in the App Catalog to 413.
We are still getting quite a few updates pushed into the catalog just a day after the Pixi launch. Either last minute changes or new functionality. Today’s app entries seem to be heavily influenced by JM Productions work since more than half of the new apps are by JM Productions.

WebOS 1.3.1 has finally hit! We know it would be soon but we didn’t know it would be this soon. We know you are excited so get to downloading
The wait is not quite over for Pre users. According to Precentral the Pixi will arrive with 1.2.9 and update immediately and Palm is still working with Sprint to get 1.3.1 out as soon as possible which means sometime after the Pixi launch. This is terrible news but with the partial changelog unveiled by Precentral it is worth the wait.
