Weekly App Hack Winner
In this week’s App Hack, we challenged our developers to hack away and take advantage of webOS’s Exhibition feature–the ability of devices running webOS 2.0 and above to display convenient “at a glance” information with a simplified interactive interface when you place it on a Touchstone wireless charger. HP webOS ships with some beautiful Exhibition apps of its own, such as an Agenda, Clock, and Photos, but the best part is that Exhibition Mode, like so many parts of webOS, is open to developers! Today, we present to you our App Hack Winner and some Honorable Mentions! WINNER: liteMite, by Anthony Gilardi Set this app up in standard mode to customize the messages you want displayed in Exhibition, then watch as the firefly writes them out against the night sky! Lite Mite Said the Anthony on his submission: “The liteMite application was an idea from my 5 year old son who loves to use my Touchpad to do jigsaw puzzles…From the mind of my son to the market in four days. Not too shabby!” Not too shabby indeed.
