My earlier review of the Palm Pre Plus found a few hardware faults, but with a new device and the webOS 1.4 update I am singing a new tune. A Pre Plus may soon be added to my smartphone collection thanks to these improvements.
Shortly after a significant system software upgrade was released for Sprint’s versions of Palm’s latest smartphones, Verizon’s webOS-based models have received it, too. webOS 1.4 brings the ability to record video, as well as a number of other enhancements.

After I posted my review of the Palm Pre Plus the local Verizon representative reached out to me and asked if I wanted to try another unit in case the first one had hardware issues. I now have another Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus to evaluate for a couple of weeks and will post an update a bit later
