Here’s the first set of answers to some of the questions that were asked. We’re still working on answering more of them, so stay tuned. First, we had a lot of questions on the documentation, when it’ll be available, and what will be in it.

CNET reported that they have now seen the UMTS version, but Palm is still being tight lipped about whether they will be in U.S. That being said, Palm did say that they are currently meeting with multiple carriers on that regard. No related posts.

Palm Pre Rumor: We love Vodafone…until we don’t

Yesterday the secret agents over at PreCommunity.com swooped in on a (Palm rep?) over at the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona. Seriously – watch the video (at the bottom of this post) the took below and notice how the cover the camera is perfectly placed to view the inner workings of the Pre, but the rep is taking off the cover “just to show it’s removable”. Whatever the motivation for opening the Pre, and whether they were dressed like James Bond or ninjas, the video they took (and then so kindly screen-captured and shared with the world) was beautiful

Every Palm fan should be familiar with Mitch. Not knowing who Mitch is would be a little like being the biggest fan of Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls and having no idea who Phil Jackson is

Palm and Apple are loving all this talk about the Multitouch patents. Without a doubt, this is some of the best press that Palm could ask for right now

How Does the Palm Pre Touchstone Work? It’s a Transformer.

The Palm Pre’s Touchstone wireless charger is low profile, elegant, and fascinating. Just stick the Pre to the Touchstone (the Touchstone uses magnets to hold the Pre in place), and you’re effortlessly pumping life back into the device – and you’ve done so without connecting a plug, joining a contact or even looking at a visibile piece of metal

Palm Pre Touchstone Touched Me – A Review

I remember reading (I believe it was in Popular Science) a few years ago about the concept of “wireless charging.” I was blown away by the concept, and I’ve had my eye open for the technology to be introduced in a mainstream product ever since. Thus, when the Palm Pre Touchstone was unveiled at Palm’s press conference at CES 2009, I was absolutely elated!
